The Butterfly People
The butterfly people are the ones waking up. Not perfect people. Not finished people. Not people who skipped the hard parts. They are the ones outgrowing old versions of themselves, learning to trust what lights them up, becoming softer and truer, and remembering they were made for more than survival. This is not a garden for perfect people. It is a garden for people becoming.
Thoughts Are Allowed in the Car They Just Don’t Get the Keys
I used to think peace would come when I finally figured out how to silence my mind.
Now I know better.
My mind never needed to disappear. My ego never needed to become my enemy. The baby never needed punishment. The chaotic coworker never needed termination.
They needed leadership.
They needed awareness.
They needed someone to stay.
And today, I did.
For hours, I stayed with myself so fully that the part of me accustomed to running the whole operation finally seemed to realize:
Oh. She’s home.
My thoughts are allowed in the car.
They just don’t get the keys.
I Saw Me
I think part of me had been waiting for a witness.
Someone to notice the distance between where I came from and what I created. Someone to say, I see how hard you worked. I see what you changed. I see what you gave your children that you never had.
But eventually I realized something:
I was there for every mile of it.
I know the effort. I know the love. I know what it cost me to build differently.
I can enjoy being recognized without requiring recognition to know my worth.
I saw me.
Little Jasmine, We Made It Home
For a long time, I thought healing meant building a better life around myself.
A cleaner home.
A safer home.
A calmer home.
And I did.
But somewhere along the way, I realized I was also learning to become the kind of person Little Jasmine could finally trust.
The adult who doesn’t yell.
The supervisor who gives breaks.
The woman who notices when something hurts.
The one who stays.
I didn’t just build a peaceful home.
I became one.
The Life I was Scrolling Past: Attention Is Love
What I pay attention to receives my life. I do not want to wake up one day and realize I spent years scrolling past a life I actually loved. Becoming myself has meant learning to place my attention where my love already lives.
