I Didn’t Heal the World. I Healed Mine. And maybe that is how the ripples begin.
For a long time, I thought healing had to mean something enormous.
I thought maybe if I healed deeply enough, I could somehow heal the world.
I don’t know that anymore.
What I do know is this:
My healing healed my world.
It changed the voice inside my own head.
It changed what I tolerate.
It changed the way I love.
It changed the way I experience an ordinary day.
I stopped living in other people’s opinions.
I stopped living entirely in the past.
I stopped waiting for the future to become better than the life I already had.
Healing didn’t give me a perfect existence.
It taught me how to live the one I was already standing in.
Little Jasmine kept walking long enough to get me here.
Now I get to live the life she carried all this way.
The Butterfly People
The butterfly people are the ones waking up. Not perfect people. Not finished people. Not people who skipped the hard parts. They are the ones outgrowing old versions of themselves, learning to trust what lights them up, becoming softer and truer, and remembering they were made for more than survival. This is not a garden for perfect people. It is a garden for people becoming.
Thoughts Are Allowed in the Car They Just Don’t Get the Keys
I used to think peace would come when I finally figured out how to silence my mind.
Now I know better.
My mind never needed to disappear. My ego never needed to become my enemy. The baby never needed punishment. The chaotic coworker never needed termination.
They needed leadership.
They needed awareness.
They needed someone to stay.
And today, I did.
For hours, I stayed with myself so fully that the part of me accustomed to running the whole operation finally seemed to realize:
Oh. She’s home.
My thoughts are allowed in the car.
They just don’t get the keys.
Sometimes ItJust Needs Gas The Problem Was Real. The Panic Was Optional
Sometimes the problem is real, but the panic is optional. I thought my sweeper had a serious mechanical problem. It turned out to be out of gas. Healing has taught me to stop letting uncertainty become catastrophe before I have all the facts.
The Life I was Scrolling Past: Attention Is Love
What I pay attention to receives my life. I do not want to wake up one day and realize I spent years scrolling past a life I actually loved. Becoming myself has meant learning to place my attention where my love already lives.
The Slightly Chaotic Coworker
What if your ego isn’t the enemy?
What if it’s just your slightly chaotic coworker—the one who has too many ideas, thinks everything is urgent, and somehow finds a way to create work even when you specifically told her not to? 😂
In this chapter, I share what happened when I stopped trying to “defeat” my wandering mind and started meeting it with humor, curiosity, and one simple phrase:
Welcome back.
Because maybe presence isn’t never leaving.
Maybe presence is becoming a safe place to return to.
Soul Alignment is Surprisingly Simple
What if soul alignment isn’t something mystical you finally achieve, but something you practice on an ordinary Tuesday? Maybe alignment is simply when the way you live agrees with what you know matters: be where your feet are, tell yourself the truth, care for your body, protect your peace, create, love, and come back when you wander. You don’t have to transcend your humanity to find your soul. Maybe the whole point is learning how to be completely here.
Awareness Meeting Awareness
What if the conversations happening inside us and the conversations happening between us are more alike than we realize? This reflection explores a simple but transformative idea: beneath our different histories, personalities, and nervous systems, awareness is always meeting awareness—and recognizing that changes the way we relate to ourselves and one another.
Every Thought is an Invitation
Every thought is an invitation to an internal conversation. The freedom isn’t in controlling what shows up—it’s in remembering that awareness gets to decide which invitations deserve an RSVP.
You Are the Observer
You are not your thoughts. You are not your emotions. You are the awareness noticing them. And once you remember that, you gain something incredibly powerful: the space to choose your response.
Your Mind is Always Filtering
Your mind is constantly filtering reality. The question isn’t whether it’s paying attention—it’s what you’ve taught it to look for. Healing often begins by gently retraining your attention toward what fear taught you to overlook.
Fear Wears a Suit
Fear doesn’t always arrive looking like fear. Sometimes it wears a tailored suit, smells suspiciously like Old Spice, and calls itself wisdom. The question isn’t simply what you’re doing—it’s who’s driving.
The Morning I wore Red Lipstick
Healing didn’t happen the morning I wore red lipstick. Healing happened in every tiny decision that came before I walked out the door. Every time the old voice spoke… and I lovingly chose not to believe her.
The Cocoon
Sometimes the people who break us don’t become the heroes of our story. The healing does. What I thought was the end of love became the beginning of coming home to myself.
To the Little Girl Who Never Clocked Out
For years, I thought the little girl inside me needed to try harder. I didn’t realize she had been working a job no child was ever meant to do—earning love, safety, and belonging. This is the day I finally let her clock out.
The Wrong Handle
🌼 How many of the limitations you live by are actually yours? One backwards shower handle became an unexpected lesson about inherited beliefs, curiosity, and discovering that what you needed may have been available all along.
After Healing isn’t all Sunshine and Rainbows
I used to think healing would make life easier. Instead, it made me harder to hijack. The interruptions didn’t disappear—I simply learned to meet them with a little more presence, a little more humor, and a lot more grace.
They Know Not What They Do
Healing doesn’t mean you stop feeling anger. It means you become aware enough to choose who answers next.
Watching the Baby
Your ego isn’t the enemy. It’s the baby. What if healing isn’t about fighting your mind, but lovingly learning to watch it?
